About Allan LeinwandAllan Leinwand is a Consulting Engineer at Cisco Systems, Inc. He receivedhis BS in Computer Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder in1988 and has been implementing networking principles and solutions forlarge corporations since that time. He not only designs systems but hasalso written network management tools that help manage those systems.

Karen Fang Conroy works at Cisco Systems, Inc. She received her BSIM/EE from Purdue University in 1985. After years of being a network engineer and network manager, she currently works as a consulting engineer doing network design and technical seminars.

Bruce Pinsky

Allan Leinwand is Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Engineering at Telegis Networks, Inc. Previously, as Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Engineering at Digital Island, Inc., he was responsible for the technical direction of the company's global network and content distribution strategy. Before Digital Island, he was a Consulting Engineering Manager at Cisco Systems, Inc., responsible for global network design of customer networks. He teaches graduate computer networking courses for the University of California, Berkeley, has published many papers on network management and network design, and is the co-author of the Addison-Wesley book Network Management: A Practical Perspective, Second Edition.

Bruce Pinsky, CCIE #1045, is Vice President of Network Engineering and Design at Telegis Networks, Inc. Previously, as Chief Information Officer, Vice President of Solutions Engineering, and Chief Network Strategist of Digital Island, Inc., he was responsible for the direction and deployment of corporate technology infrastructure and advanced technology research. Prior to Digital Island, he was Senior Internetwork Support Technologist at Cisco Systems, Inc., responsible for the escalation of complex customer technical issues. One of the original Cisco Certified Internetwork Experts, his expertise ranges from network troubleshooting and protocol analysis to network design and configuration to workstation and server-based operating systems.
