Connecting to the WUI

The WUI is available using HTTP or HTTPS on any IP interface that you’ve configured to support those protocols and can be run on any port. If you allow both, you also have the option of forcing HTTP connections to be redirected to HTTPS to enforce the use of Secure Socket Layer (SSL) for management tasks.

If you use HTTPS, be aware that the ESA ships from the factory with a self-signed demo certificate that will cause a browser warning when you connect. This default should be replaced before deploying in production, either with a locally generated self-signed certificate, or with a certificate that you’ve purchased from a reputable Internet root certificate authority.
