CCNA Security

CCNA Security Certification meets the needs of IT professionals who are responsible for network security. It confirms an individual's skills for job roles such as Network Security Specialists, Security Administrators, and Network Security Support Engineers. This certification validates skills including installation, troubleshooting and monitoring of network devices to maintain integrity, confidentiality and availability of data and devices and develops competency in the technologies that Cisco uses in its security structure. Required Exam: CCNA Security 640-553, Implementing Cisco IOS Network Security (IINS) • Register at PearsonVUE.com

Recertification: The CCNA Security is valid for three years. To recertify, Pass any current CCNA concentration exam (wireless, security, voice) OR pass a current 642 professional exam, OR pass the current CCIE written exam or the current CCDE written exam.

CCNA Voice

On October 19, 2010, Learning@Cisco announced the refresh of the CCNA Voice certification. The refresh reflects the convergence of data, voice, and video on the network. The new exam, ICOMM v8.0, will replace the existing IIUC exam. The last day to test using the IIUC exam will be February 28, 2011. In addition, the last day to use the enterprise option to earn CCNA Voice Certification is February 28, 2011.

The Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Voice certification validates associate-level knowledge and skills required to administer a voice network. The CCNA Voice certification confirms that an individual has the required skill set for specialized job roles in voice technologies including Voice Administrator, Voice Engineer, and Voice Manager. It validates skills in VoIP technologies such as IP PBX, IP telephony, handset, call control, and voicemail solutions.

Prerequisite: Valid CCNA or any CCIE Certification.

Required Exams: ICOMM #640-461 exam replaces the current IIUC #640-460 and CVOICE #642-436 exams for individuals working toward achieving the CCNA Voice certification. The last day to test using the IIUC #640-460 or CVOICE #642-436 exams is Monday, February 28, 2011.

Recertification: CCNA Voice certifications are valid for three years. To recertify, pass a CCNA Concentration exam (wireless, security, voice), or pass any 642-XXX professional level or Cisco Specialist exam (excluding Sales Specialist exams), or pass a current CCIE or CCDE written exam. This e-learning course introduces basic knowledge of video technology. Topics include Video Basics, Analog Video.

IIUC #640-460 Exam—Last Day to Test February 28, 2011

This exam confirms basic IP telephony installation, configuration, and maintenance skills by testing a candidate's knowledge of implementing and configuring small- to medium sized IP Telephony solutions using Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express, Cisco Unity Express, and the UC500 Smart Business Communications System solutions.
