The Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Voice certification validates associate-level knowledge and skills required to administer a voice network. The CCNA Voice certification confirms that an individual has the required skill set for specialized job roles in voice technologies including Voice Administrator, Voice Engineer, and Voice Manager. It validates skills in VoIP technologies such as IP PBX, IP telephony, handset, call control, and voicemail solutions. Prerequisite: Valid CCNA or any CCIE Certification. Required Exams: ICOMM #640-461 exam replaced the IIUC #640-460 and CVOICE #642-436 exams for individuals working toward achieving the CCNA Voice certification. The last day to test using the IIUC #640-460 or CVOICE #642-436 exams is Monday, February 28, 2011. Register at PearsonVUE.com to take the CCNA Voice exams. Recertification: CCNA Voice certifications are valid for three years. To recertify, pass a CCNA Concentration exam (wireless, security, voice), or pass any 642-XXX professional level or Cisco Specialist exam (excluding Sales Specialist exams), or pass a current CCIE or CCDE written exam.
