The bulk of what you are purchasing with this kit is the video mentor series which features videos and screen casts of Kevin Wallace walking through 12 lab scenarios. Each scenario begins with a review of the topic and related show commands followed by a walkthrough of using said show commands to understand and baseline the lab configuration. The CCNP TSHOOT Certification Kit is a DVD based training package to assist you in learning the material for the new THSOOT test. The kit includes a DVD with over 7 hours of training video by Kevin Wallace, who also wrote the TSHOOT Official Certification Guide. The kit also includes a small book, the CCNP TSHOOT Quick Reference by Brent Stewart and an access code for TSHOOT flashcards through certflashcardsonline.The video training portion consists of twelve labs in which Kevin Wallace takes you through a trouble shooting scenario. This is similar to the layout in the TSHOOT Official Certification Guide, but the labs are not a complete duplication of the material in the book. Great cert kit to learn troubleshooting,

I really like this cert kit. If you're someone who doesn't get a lot of hands on experience with troubleshooting the various routing and switching topics that are on the exam, these videos are a nice supplement. While you think you have a good understanding of a topic, it might be entirely different when it comes time to troubleshoot it. The videos give you some of the experience that you need by going through troubleshooting scenarios that you may encounter. The instructor is easy to follow, and if you don't understand, you can just rewind the video to watch it again and again.Ultimately, I'm using this for my Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) studies as well and have found it to be really useful since there is a semi-recently added troubleshooting portion on the CCIE lab exam. If you plan on moving up in your Cisco studies, definitely add this to your study plan. |
