Lesson 20: Confederations
This unit introduces confederations as another tool for scaling IBGP topologies, this one by creating smaller autonomous systems within the main AS, and using a variation of EBGP to communicate between these sub-ASs. The issues around confederation EBGP are discussed briefly, as are the applications of confederations and how route reflectors can be used in conjunction with confederations. Finally, a simple confederation is configured.
